WHY SHOULD SOFT SKILLS BE TAUGHT AT AN ELEMENTARY AGE?

“Take advantage of every opportunity to practice your communication skills so that when important occasions arise, you will have the gift, the style, the sharpness, the clarity, and the emotions to affect other people.” – Jim Rohn

We live in a world governed by people skills and interpersonal skills. From interacting with neighbours and friends to convincing a client to close a deal, people skills are what control the outcome of any relationship be it personal or professional.

But, why must these skills be taught to children at a young age? As we all know, the early stages of life comprise the formative years for children, wherein they shadow the behaviour, language, personalities of the adults in their life.

Soft skills are, therefore, the need of the hour. If we want kids to bring out the best in them, live a full life, grasp every opportunity by their hands, training them in their formative years can prepare them to overcome all obstacles in life.
